Enfys provides on-going, bilingual, psychological support and aftercare for all qualified doctors in Wales with addiction difficulties.
Studies indicate that doctors, regardless of any stage of training and specialisation are a population highly at risk of developing addiction disorders (British Medical Association, 1998).
We offer free, on-going support (in English and Welsh) and after-care for anyone affected by, or at risk of, difficulties relating to an addiction.
We deal with all types of addiction, including alcohol, drugs (prescribed or illicit), gambling, sex, eating disorders and any other dependency or harmful behaviour. We help anyone who needs support in taking that first step towards recovery or wants to maintain their on-going recovery.
We also welcome and provide advice and support for family members, partners and friends who are affected by these addictions. Confidentiality and mutual respect are paramount in all that we do.
We’re here to help.

THE ENFYS PROGRAMME
The programme is designed to offer on-going, twice weekly group therapy sessions, peer-support (from other doctors attending) and also opportunities for one-to-one counselling sessions and family therapy, if desired. The programme offers two group sessions a week, designed to offer further on-going support if required. Group timings have been designed to fit in with potential shift work, offering one morning and/or one evening session a week. Clients can attend either one or both sessions per week.
Each group session lasts 1.5 hr-2hrs.
The Living Room is a community based recovery centre that has an "all-addictions" approach and welcomes anyone who needs support to take that first step towards recovery or wanting to maintain their on-going recovery.
CAIS is a registered charity and leading voluntary sector provider of personal support services in Wales.
